Treatment Fees and Finance
We are an independent practice seeing patients privately.
Every treatment is specific to each patient's individual needs. We will provide patients with a full treatment plan and estimate of treatment fees. Sometimes this may need to be revised during a course of treatment.
Our full list of fees can be found below.
North Tawton Dental Care Plan
Research shows that preventive dentistry delivered on a regular basis greatly reduces the risk of dental disease and provides a platform for a lifetime of improved oral health.
With this in mind, we encourage patients to join our North Tawton Dental Practice Plan.
The plan provides advantages both to you and to us. It will allow us to plan your dental care more effectively and provide the best chance of keeping you dentally fit. The advantage for you is that it should reduce the need for extensive future treatment and you will have peace of mind that all your preventive dental cover is covered by convenient monthly payments.
Dental plan patients also benefit from a 10% discount on all dental treatment costs and are eligible to request assistance from the Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme.
Anxious Patients
If you are very nervous about dental treatment, please feel free to discuss it with us. Most times you can be treated with a large dose of tender loving care which is much safer than sedatives or general anaesthesia. Where clinically and medically appropriate we are able to provide pre-sedative medications to help reduce anxiety.
Appointments
We always try to see patients at the appointed time. If you are kept waiting there is normally a good reason. If you have to cancel an appointment we require, whenever possible, 48 hours notice. This enables us to make alternative arrangements - perhaps to see someone in pain. There is usually a charge for last minute broken and failed appointments.
Facilities for the Disabled
The downstairs surgery and reception are situated on the ground floor and are accessible for disabled patients including wheelchair users. Unfortunately it has not yet been possible to make the downstairs toilet suitable for wheelchair users.
Emergency Service
If you are in pain during practice hours, please telephone and we will endeavour to fit you into one of the day's emergency spaces.
Outside of surgery hours an answering message will give you details of how to contact out-of-hours dental services. You can also email info@northtawtondentalpractice.co.uk. This email account is checked regularly. From there, we can discuss the problem with you and, if necessary, book an appointment when the practice is open again.
Complaints procedure
We follow General Dental Council guidelines and have instituted a complaints scheme equivalent to that operating in the NHS. We hope that this will ensure 100% satisfaction with the treatment offered at the practice.
