Alex qualified from the University of Plymouth with BDS (Hons) in 2018, receiving the Deans Gold Medal. Having completed his vocational training in Exeter, Alex was able to secure a position as an Academic Clinical Fellow, based within the Plymouth Community Dental Services. There he completed enhanced training in oral surgery and special care dentistry – including the management of anxious and more medically complex patients.

Alex sat his exams to become a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons and has a Master’s degree in clinical research, underlining his commitment to continuing dental education and keeping abreast of the changes in modern dentistry. He has also published a number of papers in peer-reviewed research journals.

Maxine initially worked as a Dental Therapist in the Community Dental Service in Kent. After further qualifications in Dental Hygiene she spent 4 years working abroad in Zimbabwe. Since returning home she has practised in both NHS and private dental surgeries, utilising her full scope of dental care in private practice across the Devon and Cornwall area, including teaching for 8 years at Peninsula Dental School. Maxine particularly enjoys the prospect of making a difference to the whiter smile and gum health of all patients who attend for treatment at the practice and looks forward to meeting new patients, as well as maintaining the oral health of regular patients at the practice.
